Chris believes a quality education is the single greatest tool we have to give every child.

Parents know their children best. Chris supports policies that give parents a real voice in their child's education and keep decision-making close to home, not dictated by bureaucrats in Washington.
Great teachers are the backbone of great schools. Chris supports competitive teacher pay, less red tape in the classroom, and getting resources into the classrooms where they belong.
Not every student needs a four-year degree to build a good life. Chris supports strong career-technical programs that ensure students graduate ready to pursue a trade skill, community college, or a four-year university — whichever path is right for them.
Every parent should be able to send their child to school and know they're safe. Chris supports continued investment in school resource officers, secure facilities, and mental health resources for students.

Standing with Law Enforcement

Chris has always believed that safe communities start with strong support for the men and women who serve and protect us.

Chris supports strong pay, better equipment, and the resources local police, sheriff's deputies, and first responders need to do their jobs and return home safe to their families.

Chris supports continuing to make Alabama one of the most competitive states in the country for new industry and manufacturing, bringing good-paying jobs to middle-class families here in District 80 instead of losing them to other states.
Small businesses are critical to creating a long-lasting economy. Chris supports cutting red tape, keeping taxes low, and making it easier to start and grow a business here in East Alabama.
Chris supports partnerships between schools, community colleges, and local employers to make sure our workforce has the skills employers are looking for not just right now, but in the years ahead.

Reducing the Cost of Living

Alabama families are working hard, and they shouldn't have to work harder just to keep up with rising costs driven by Washington's reckless spending.

Chris opposes new and higher taxes on Alabama families and supports continued efforts to reduce the tax burden on groceries, income, and everyday essentials.
While much of inflation is driven by bad decisions in Washington, Chris believes Montgomery has a responsibility to keep state spending disciplined and avoid piling new costs onto families already stretched thin.
Chris supports policies that keep electricity and fuel costs down for Alabama families rather than driving up costs through unnecessary regulation and demand.
Responsible budgeting. Chris supports a balanced, responsible state budget that doesn't spend beyond its means — because government should live within its budget the same way Alabama families do.
